Increase competition in the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry.

Created by B.S. on December 18, 2012

ISPs are vital to a modern life. However, there are many issues with competition in this country.
In the cellular telecommunications/mobile broadband industry, there are generally 4 choices (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile). In areas like where I live, you don't get a choice about this. My only option as a cell phone provider is Verizon Wireless.
In the traditional broadband / cable broadband industry, there is even less choice. Where I live, Time Warner Cable has a complete monopoly. This issue is widespread throughout the country.
Lack of competition in these two areas of the ISP industry have created stagnation in bandwidth, ever increasing cost of bandwidth, and Terms of Service that are worsening for the consumer.

This NEEDS to change.
