Increase the current FERS Annuity Calculation for Federal Employees from 1.1% to 1.8 % per year.

Created by R.O. on July 30, 2013

The FERS annuity is calculated on a base of the "high-3" average pay. For employees retiring at or after age 62 with at least 20 years of service, the annuity is 1.1 percent of the high-3 average times the number of years worked. For employees retiring before age 62, or at or after age 62 with less than 20 years of service, the annuity is one percent of the high-3 average times the number of years worked.
We demand an increase to those with 20+ years to have an increased annuity of 1.8% and 1.3 for those under 20.
Members of Congress or congressional staff to receive an annuity of 1% maximum ceiling due to the enormous disparity in salary range and allowances.
Federal workers are presently paid much less than the private sector workforce doing the same job. Demand Change Now!
