Rather than remove guns from society, we should teach people how to be responsible gun owners. This education should start in schools, alongside drug and alcohol education. By better teaching our children how to react to firearms and not use them in an unsafe manner, we can prevent such tragedies of the recent theater and school shootings. As a Boy Scout, I learned how to use a firearm in a safe, responsible way. I know several people who were exposed to firearms from an early age, and understand that guns are tools of destruction, but can be used for good.
