Electric vehicles (EVs) have many advantages including reduced noise pollution, money savings, and environmental benefits. An average electric car has about half as much as an environmental footprint as the cleanest non-fully electric car in production, the Toyota Prius.
Many governments around the world have programs to implement DC chargers. DC charging is capable of delivering an 80% charge to a car in as little as 30 minutes. With the exception of West Coast and urban centers in the East, the U.S. lacks the charging infrastructure needed to make widespread EV adoption a reality.
If the infrastructure was there, more would adopt EVs. With more electric vehicles on the road, our air would be cleaner, our dependence on oil would be reduced, and as a nation we would save money.
