Education all over the country is not given the attention or the funds it deserves. President Obama has stated many times that he will make college more affordable for students but many schools lack educational technologies that would increase student learning. Also, many teachers accumulate several thousands of dollars in debt only to start out on a salary scale that is much smaller than many other jobs. If teachers are responsible for molding the future minds of this country it is time that their compensation equals their value. In the United States a person can be eligible for food stamps if that person makes less than $20,000 dollars per day but a teachers with a bachelors degree often times starts out making less than $35,000 per year.
