Purchasing tablets for students in alternative middle schools is important because it would allow for each student to work at his or hers own pace and to work at his or hers own learning level. It would also allow for an alternative way for these students to learn and achieve in each classroom, as opposed to direct instruction. Every student learns differently and having tablets would allow for another method of learning to be available to all of the students.
Technology is an important part of our society and will continue to be so, having tablets in the classroom will teach these students important skills and abilities that they can use later in life in academic or job situations.
