increase federal funding for NIH to at lesat cover for the inflation rate.

Research funding for NIH and other federal research organizations is extrememly importnat to keep our status as world leaders in medical research. For last few years, the NIH budget has not been even increased to cover for the inflation rate, which has resulted in closing of, and reduciton in number of research labs in US. This is espeiclaly affecting hte young nad junior investigators, who are pivotal for future of research in our great country. I would request our president to please consider incresaing NIH budget to compensate for the inflation rate so that at least the current research porjects can continue without cut downs, with the plan to increase research funding as the economy grows.
