Increase the federal minimum wage to $10.50 per hour, indexed to chained-CPI and adjusted annually.

Created by R.G. on December 30, 2012

The economy depends on consumer spending and the working class make up the largest share of consumers, therefor the working class are the true job creators. Entitlement revenue is based on a percentage of earning and an increase in wages would go far to cover entitlement shortfalls. The practice of exploiting labor is shifting the true cost of business on to the government and thereby needlessly forcing an expansion in government spending through the social safety net. This is not only an exploitation of labor but also an exploitation of tax payers. The working class makes this country move every day and yet the working class are the last to see the fruits of their labor. This exploitation must come to an end for the sake of the working class and the country as a whole.
