Currently the federal minimum wage of $7.25 is very low compared to other industrial countries, and should be increased to at least $9 an hour as President Obama promised in 2013's Union speech. Cost of living and other things have increased, so should wages.
Nobody who works fulltime in the United States should still live well under poverty.
