Increase funding to American education so that schools have enough teachers and staff to effectively do their jobs.

The American Education System is under attack. Not by terrorists or by some shadowy figure, but it is under attack from our own government. Schools across the country have been forced to institute a reduction in force because all the states’ budgets have been cut by the federal government. Tens of thousands of teachers have lost their jobs, benefits, and future security because of the decrease in state funding for education.
Our focus has shifted from a liberal arts education to a focus on standardized test scores. Every student is not a cookie cutter facsimile of what we wish a student should be. Scores have never dictated what a student will become. Every student is different with different needs. Give back the funding that is necessary for educators to educate.
