Increase funding and requirements for Social Studies Education in America's Public Schools

Created by D.M. on January 08, 2013

In America's schools today there has been a much greater emphasis put on furthering Math and Science, an understandable sentiment given the need to compete in these fields on a global scale. However, the Social Sciences have by and large been left by the wayside to make room for new curriculum requirements.

Too many students leave the public school system without accurate understandings of Economics, Government, or History without which they cannot successfully function as a civic minded American, or an enlightened member of the World.
