Increase funding to NASA

NASA’s budget for fiscal year 2011 is roughly $18.5 billion — 0.5 percent of a $3.7 trillion federal budget. NASA employs roughly 19,000 civil servants and 40,000 contractors in and around its 10 centers. NASA Research has led to breakthroughs in medical science as well as several other areas. Had a breast exam lately? Algorithms developed for the Hubble Space Telescope improved image processing in mammography. Technology developed by NASA has largely made it back to Earth in everyday worldwide use. NASA has very little impact on our federal budget, but it has a huge impact on the lives of not only Americans, but the world as well. Get this out there guys, NASA needs to thrive.
