NASA used to take us to the moon....in the 70s!
NASA gets only $19 billion a year. They invented many things, the ear thermometer, memory foam....
19 Billion is less than the US spends on air conditioning is Iraq and Afghanistan. If we're going to go back to the moon, they need more money. NASA also creates jobs. More missions, more need for chemists, medicine majors, engineers, astronomers, etc. And if the budget goes down and down and down, what are we going to tell to the kids in the science class? What will happen to us on the space race?
Long story short, we will wither without NASA.
