Currently NASA has a budget that is less about 0.5% of the total federal budget. With that relatively small amount the US has done incredible things.
To do these things requires effort and advancement from a wide swath of US industry. A study conducted in November of 1971 showed that each dollar spent on NASA's budget yields a 33% return.
Put simply: Money spent on NASA is money very well spent.
Our nation face a variety of challenges from energy to education to the economy. These problems will not be easily solved but an excellent starting point is increasing NASA's funding and setting bold goals - like putting a person on Mars. Accomplishing these goals will push technology forward and lead to advances in many areas. Please raise NASA's funding to 2.2% of the federal budg
