The 2013 Russian meteor event has served as a wake up call for us to aware the threats posed by an asteroid impact.
The United Nations has now began reviewing the dangers from an asteroid impact, which, in most serious case, can cause another Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event, which could put an end to the humanity as we know it.
Therefore, we strongly urge President Obama to increase funding on NASA's spaceguard related program and help them to realize their proposals to deflect an asteroid, including but not limited to assist them to get materials needed to realize their noble goal.
