We want the Obama Administration to keep their promise to increase safety and the economy of the American public by providing more fund sto the U.S. National Weather Service under the United States Department of Commerce so that the American public can continue to receive excellent daily warnings and forecasts which saves thousands of American lives every year.
Without this funding, the National Weather Service cannot maintain the National Radar networks, the Upper Air Stations, and the many thousands of government and privately operated surface stations which provide reliable data to the public and forecasting agencies. Without these, accurate and reliable forecasts cannot be made, and can have dire consequences on the safety of the American public.
