The study of solar system and universal astronomy and cosmology inspires students to pursue and conquer challenging courses in science and math such as physics, chemistry and engineering. These are the courses that spur innovation and imagination for the challenges of the future. Without the curiosity and pioneering spirit inspired by the discoveries of NASA and space exploration, we cannot hope to sustain or improve our human society. Our future innovations must be inspired by more than just monetary reward...they must be inspired for our common good, our common knowledge, and our common future. Without national support and funding for such research and exploration, our inspiration is lost.
