increase funding of STEM and technology education in public schools.

Created by K.J. on May 17, 2013

STEM education, or science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education, is vastly under funded in public schools. A team of students and I entered a competition for video production. We were told that if we won first place at the state level, then we would be funded by the city to go to the national level, and we are now being denied this promise. The Perkins Act, which met its end at the end of 2012, provided this funding. We need a new act of legislation on the federal level to provide and/or increase this funding to provide future students the equipment and funds they need to pursue this kind of education in public schools.
