NASA was conceived in 1958 to promote unity and world peace through the exploration of space for the benefit of all humankind. Since its inception, NASA has been a monument to the power of human curiosity, intellect, and perseverance.
However, over the past two decades, NASA's annual budget has been steadily decreasing. These funds were instead channeled towards controversial military operations. It is seen by many as a deplorable blow to the USA's moral authority.
With the human population exponentially increasing, we will eventually run out of space on Earth and need to colonize other planets. We simply cannot do this without a worldwide effort. Who would be better to lead this than the organization that put the first man on the moon?
For this to work, however, NASA does need money.
