Increase Funding Towards National Historical Society (NHS)

Created by S.O. on June 12, 2014

I believe that the administration needs to provide significantly more funding towards our nations historical societies.
There are many towns across the U.S. with society owned structures that are awaiting restoration yet due to lack of funding cannot progress. Though a modern sleek structure can be appealing our country needs to focus more heavily on historic preservation.
The jobs created by this increased funding are plentiful since like previously stated there are many society owned structures that are awaiting renovation which requires skilled craftsmen and other construction/ restoration oriented jobs.
The funding boost will also allow for our children to learn about our nations history. For a country to have a future it must preserve its past.
