Increase the # of H1-B Visas for skilled foreign workers from 65,000 per year to 200,000 per year.

Created by K.R. on March 05, 2013

H1-B Visas are set aside for skilled foreign workers to come to the US for work. The majority are in the tech industry which is one of the few booming economic sectors right now.

These are not illegal aliens. These people are skilled and educated and want to come to the US to use their skills to make their lives better. They follow the byzantine maze of rules and pay 1000s to legally come to the US and be software engineers and the like.

The current limit of 65,000 new H1-B visas per year is not enough and should be increased ASAP. All companies are facing a shortage of quality skilled labor in the US and foreign skilled workers can fill this gap. Our government should be doing everything possible to encourage this type of immigration!
