Increase income limit for single parents to $16,000 a year, that are employed and trying to be self-sufficient but still need help to include food stamps, free health care and day care for children and free college tuition to further education. Current incomes for single parents are not enough to cover these expenses and only penalize parents for working and promote unemployment altogether so these benefits are provided by the government. Don't penalize single parents for trying to support their families, which is what is happening. By not providing these benefits to unemployed parents (unless disabled), they will be forced to find jobs that could conceivably make them self-sufficient in the future.
