increase Internet/Technology access and performance across America

Created by I.D. on November 15, 2012

While the United States is currently bouncing back from a recession, there seems to be an issue than many overlook. The issue is that of technology availability and performance. Just fewer than 80% of Americans do not have access to the internet and with technology advancing and becoming more and more important, this number needs to rise. In addition, America is 33rd in the world for mean internet ‘speed’. We may have a higher percentage of people with internet access than other countries but our infrastructure needs to be improved upon to increase performance. The internet and networking can be critical tools for things like healthcare, education, energy, and transportation. With a strong telecommunications infrastructure, other crucial infrastructures will be able to evolve and improve.
