increase the maximum speed limit on interstate roadways due to the change in the pace of society and the ability of cars

Created by C.M. on November 25, 2012

The speed limit today is simply obnoxiously slow. Vehicles today can easily do 90 on the interstate safely , especially out in the country. It is not even remotely dangerous if all the cars are going at the same speed of 90. Another great possibility is varying speed limits per lane with the right lane being the current speed limit of 70 and each other increasing the further left. Speeding tickets are mostly a use of cities to create additional revenue in "speed traps" and it really isn't dangerous if one can handle it. Germany has it right with the Autobahn and their percentage of deaths on interstates is lower than ours.
