The list of victims murdered by police officers, guards, and other servicemen/women who carry guns is innumerable.
We, The People, need to know that the people selected to protect and serve and handle guns, have the mental fitness to endure stressful situations without relying solely on the gun. The time for shoot first ask questions later needs to end. In addition to this, if an officer "accidentally" shoots someone, he should not be allowed to maintain officer employment or ownership of a firearm. He should be noted as dishonorably dismissed and there should be no pension. Officers tied to the obstruction of justice should suffer the same consequences as the killer.
Investigations for "accidental" deaths should not be conducted within state. They should be examined by neutral parties.
