Increase Military And Counter-Terrorism Aid For Nigeria Against Boko Haram Attacks

Created by A.O. on May 01, 2014

The Boko Haram attacks against Nigeria has crippled that country. The USA is a strong diplomatic ally and trading partner to Nigeria; we ask that the US intensify military and counter-terrorism aid against these attacks.

Boko Haram's goal is to eradicate Western influence out of Nigeria therefore, the country's stability is of major importance to the USA:

- Numerous American companies such as ExxonMobil, Google, GE as well as non-profits operate in Nigeria.

- An estimated one million Nigerians and Nigerian Americans live, study, and work in the US, while over 25,000 Americans live and work in that country.

These are a few American interests that could become potential targets to a Boko Haram attack. For the safety, and stability of Nigeria and America's interest, the US should help.
