Increase military pay ABOVE the inflation rate

Created by D.H. on February 13, 2013

The Obama Administration stated in the State of the Union the need to "raise the middle class" and increase minimum wage to $9.00/hr.

The 2013 yearly military pay increase was budgeted below the yearly inflation rate - at a mere rate of 1.6%.

Many veterans and active military are living on government assistance or paycheck to paycheck.

Why not lead by example and "lift the middle class" of your defense force to liveable wages that AT LEAST keep up with inflation?

We challenge the administration to find the current funds within the currently established defense budget. Take the misused, misappropriated funds and put them where they WILL be of use. YOUR soldiers, YOUR fighting force, OUR brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, and ultimately, OUR future.
