The petition is related to incoherent nature of the current state of our military forces and NATO's in face of Russian's invasion of Ukraine and very likely expansionist approach of their forces. With budget cuts and reduction of our forces and our allies we are on the opposite direction if we want to deter Russia from its current course. Economic sanctions are fine, but the effects won't be felt for a long time and will not change their current military plan which seems to have been premeditated and started long ago with the aid of Yanukovich and in response to NATO's presence who their president sees as a threat.The US and its allies need to change their current course as well to avoid or at least lessen the impact of Russian's inexcusable and imminent continuing movement of troops west.
