Increase minimum wage

Minimum wage has never been sufficient to raise a family out of poverty if only one member of the family works according to minimum wage history statistics. This economy makes it even more difficult for single parents to feed their kids. Thousands of kids of all races across the nation go hungry everyday because parents make just enough to pay bills and are living check to check to make ends meet. Raising minimum wage will help bridge the economic gap and give the middle and lower class a fairer chance to make a decent living.
