Increase the minimum wage to $13.00/hr for Certified Nursing Assistant and with a maximum of 10 patient to take care of.

Created by A.B. on February 23, 2013

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) has the biggest role and most difficult task to meet the patient needs. The Patient's Rights are so enormous that must be applied to everyone regardless of the patien'ts culture and tradition. There are so many IDPH guidelines to follow. With a very litlle amount of money they make versus the amount of work they do can be so depressing. If they have to pay for their family insurance, there will be no more money for the food on the table.
Often times patient and family does not treat them with respect. Non stop demands, complains, personal request by patient can tear apart their wellbeing. CNA are very much underpaid. Because of underpaid compassionate healthcare workers, there are many millionaire Nursing Home owners.
