We all know that a robust middle class is key to a successful national economy. Raising the minimum wage over time to $20 per hour would grow the middle class creating a stronger base for our country while lifting millions out of poverty. The current economic situation has not allowed the average citizen to keep up and the middle class is in rapid decline. I challenge the executive to lay the ground work for an meaningful increase in the minimum wage.
