Increase minimum wage to a fair wage, and implement a yearly increase to adjust for rising costs.

Created by J.C. on January 06, 2013

Minimum wage has not kept up with the rising costs and is now far lower than any wage that could be considered fair. Other first world countries along with some not considered first world have a minimum wage that is at a rate far higher than ours, and we're supposed to be the "land of opportunity". America has become a bad joke compared to the country envisioned by our founders. I propose a minimum wage increase to about $9.50 which is still lower then where we would be if wages increased along with costs, and lower than the equivalent of other countries wages, while at the same time high enough to give the American people a fair chance at a stable life.
