In Ohio, Police Officers fresh out of the academy will join a department part time working for free, or just around $8-$10 dollars an hour. I believe that even fresh out of the academy the officers life is worth more than that. I want to set a standard to raise all auxiliary/part time officers to at least $12 dollars an hour if not more.
