Increase minimum wage to reflect the high cost of living in today's time.

Minimum wage is not high enough, and the cost of living increases every single day. This petition is to have minimum wage increased to an appropriate amount to help families cope with the high costs of living in today's time. Furthermore, if the amount of minimum wage is increased to an exceptional amount, say eleven or twelve dollars per hour, the positive impact on the economy brought from this increase would be very beneficial. Not only would the Government benefit from having more money from federal income withdrawn from those higher wages, but also the extra amount of money would clearly go to more purchases and spending, increasing the economy.
