After billions of years of evolution it is in just the last 50 years that we've left our Planet and discovered how truly large the Universe is. If we are not the only intelligent species in the Universe it's important to find the others to better understand who and what we are. If we are the first intelligent species and truly unique it's even more important that we invest in space. What a shame it would be if all of humanity was wiped out before we had a chance to explore the Universe fully and leave our mark. We must accept this great responsibility and embark on the most aggressive exploration and colonization of space we possibly can so that our story can be told for next 13 billion years.
