NASA, in its entirety, in 2012 received 0.48% of the Federal Budget, less than a penny on every tax dollar. With every year that goes by, American innovation is becoming less and less prevalent as other countries pass us by. These two phenomena are not isolated, they are one and the same.
Through the NASA innovative partnerships program some of the most groundbreaking technologies in medicine, high tech and even consumer recreation have been invented, but this process is slowing. NASA desperately needs more funding.
We need a large investment in Space. It will inspire an entire future generation and will create hundreds of thousands of new jobs now, all while jumpstarting Innovation and our Economy.
NASA is part of the legacy of Eisenhower and Kennedy. It deserves better.
