Increase the NASA budget.

Created by E.K. on November 18, 2012

The amount of money given to NASA for the exploration of space and scientific development has been experiencing an unacceptable decline since the 60s. The cost of construction of a single Nimitz class aircraft carrier is estimated to be $4.5 Billion which is almost 3 times NASA's current budget. Would we rather have scientific progress and the ultimate improvement of humanity's experience, or another aircraft carrier to add to what is already the largest fleet in the world?

Therefore, we the undersigned petition the U.S. Federal Government, and the Obama Administration in particular, to increase the federal funding of NASA, their research, and all related space programs in a meaningful way that will see the agency's improvement and advancement for many years to come.
