Contained within are the reasons we, as one human race, should be focusing on space exploration and the discovery and development of habitable planets. The main goal here, is to increase the funding of NASA, to allow for the technological development of next generation space travel and colonization techniques.
Reasons:
1. Overpopulation: The population of the human race is increasing every day by hundreds of thousands. Longer lifespans, made possible by advances in medical technology, will only add to the number of people alive on the planet simultaneously.
2. Limited Resources: In time, our massive population will not be able to be contained or provided for by 1 planet, if we wish to keep growing as a race.
3. Expansion: We must colonize another planet to continue growing as a race.
