Increase NASA spending to between 5-10% of the budget

In 1965 & 1966, NASA's budget was between 4.31 and 4.41 percent of our Federal Budget. Only 3/4 years later, we were able to land a man on the moon. We could accomplish so much more if we increased NASA's budget from the .50% it is at currently, to 5-10%. This would allow innovations in ALL fields of technology. Defense is at a whopping 57%, and while it is important, if the government took 6 percent of that and put it towards NASA, we would develop technology that would be used for a wide range of things including defense!
