Increase NASA's budget to 1.00% of the Federal Budget.

NASA's budget has been shrinking severely, and is only projected to keep going down. Today about $16 Billion is given as NASA's annual budget, about 0.48% of the Federal Budget. This petition aims at increasing NASA's budget to 1.00%; roughly, this will be a $10 Billion increase. History has proven that only countries have the financial power for space exploration; commercial companies don't have the financial ability to push spaceflight further than NASA has, they can only perfect what NASA has done. This is why NASA is still relevant and why it needs more funding, not less. Space exploration is among the most important areas in science, and is both important to our long-term security, and technological advancement. NASA needs more. Lets give it to them together.
