Increase NASA's budget to further promote the United State's goals in outer space

Space is an unlimited source of energy and resources for the United States. By expanding into this uncharted frontier, we can solve energy and resource problems by directly tapping power from the sun and bolster our economy. We can also promote U.S. defense interests by controlling outer space. However, this requires increased funding, as the NASA budget is less that 0.5% of the nation's total budget, severely hampering America's ability to be an international interstellar superpower. Please increase NASA's budget to allow for the furthering of US interests in outer space.
