Did you know that NASA receives about 1/9th of the % of Federal Budget then it did in the peak of the space race in the 1960's?
How about the fact that NASA receives less then 1/2 of the budget they received to land on the moon, even though our economy has massively grown since the 1960's?
Now here you are, asking yourself how did NASA land a man on the move in just over 10 years after it's creation, but hasn't progressed to Mars in the last 45 years since?...
The answer is simple. As Neil deGrasse Tyson quoted "We Stopped Dreaming". During the cold war, Presidents were pushed to beat back the Soviets by beating them in space. Investing over 4% of the Federal Budget to do so.... Now? less than .5%
Simply put, this petition is to prove how much we care about our future... and space.
