The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has been one of the most successful departments funded by the United States Federal Government. From putting a man on the moon, to invisible braces, or cordless tools, NASA has been the focal point of innovation in the United States since its inception in 1958. Unfortunately, for the last 18 years, NASA has made up less than one-percent of the Federal Budget, with 2012 being the first year it has fallen to less than half of one-percent of the budget. With an increase in funding, NASA could expand our horizons beyond Earth, and increase American competitiveness in emerging technologies on the global market.
Let’s put another American on the moon.
