Increase national budget for NASA to help secure knowledge and future technologies as it did more so in the past.

The future is in the solar system and beyond. When we run out of resource or if anything catastrophic happened on Earth it would be wise to have a back up plan. In the past NASA has developed important technologies that run rampant in society today. These developments helped the U.S. economy. After straying away and keeping a short sighted mind set on the importance of space exploration, the U.S. had declined. Bring back our NASA funding, even if it means taking a couple of % points from our 24% defense budget.
