Every time a shooting occurs, the government brings up the question, "Should we make firearms harder to obtain?"
What kind of logic and forethought goes into a question like that? The only thing that stops a gun, is another gun. Nobody who wants to commit a crime with a gun (and hope to get away clean) is going to use a gun that they legally obtained! If it's a, "crime of passion", they'll use anything to do what they're trying to achieve. Don't think assault weapons are the only things capable of mass killings. The very same day as the Sandy Hook shooting, a man in china entered a school and killed 20 children with a knife.
Do you really think banning guns is going to cut down on shootings? Countries where gun are illegal are generally countries with high murder rates, like Mexico.
