Increase oversight on Military Housing and Family Quality of Life

Created by S.T. on December 11, 2012

Military Housing continues to be substandard. Commands are not ensuring that the best of interests of the Government, Military members and their families are being met. In order to save the government money they need to encourage service members to remain in installation housing. However these houses are suffering from major maintenance and lack of quality of life issues such as mold be covered up with paint causing health issues (Fort Bliss, TX). Although housing may be old if properly maintained and renovated it can still provide decent living conditions. A 3rd party manager (not privatized housing managers) should over see all aspects of the housing. forcing the military and their contractors to do what's right and not use the money else where.
