Increase the percentage of calories from fat allowed in school snacks.

Created by R.J. on March 09, 2016

High School students are being deprived of Munchies (Lay Company). The immensely popular snack has been taken away from students due to the 35/10/35 rule. This has drastically cut the amount and quality of snacks available to students. The snack in question, Munchies, meets every nutrition requirement except percentage of calories from fat. Munchies have around 42.86% calories from fat. The mandated amount is 35%. This slight increase would allow more lenience and flexibility which would let schools stock snacks that students actually want to eat, as well as increase revenue for the companies and schools involved.
