A person putting their life on the line should never be paid less than a manager at Mcdonald's. The average pay rate for a private in the army is barely above minimum wage, the same rate as an employee at a fast food franchise. This is unacceptable, and should be addressed. The worth of a soldier is greater than the worth of a burger flipper based on the risk of the job.
