While government aid is needed by many for legitimate reasons, there are far too many recipients who utilize their government aid for purposes that it was never intended for. We feel that it is time that those who cannot support themselves through a legitimate career to be subject to the same drug tests as the average working citizen in order to keep their benefits. We are not asking these citizens to be singled out; we are merely asking for these citizens to be included in the same practice that the hard working tax payers are subject to. The repercussions of a failed tests could be set up on a three strikes basis. The final strike being court sentencing according to the drug found and local drug laws, as well as a permanent loss of benefits eligibility
