Climate change is the greatest threat to our economy, security and well-being. Over 97% of studies on climate change support the hypothesis that humans contribute to climate change, yet our President-elect claims climate change is a hoax and appointed a climate skeptic to lead his EPA transition team.
We can’t afford to adopt policies that increase our vulnerability to the effects of climate change. Preparing against effects like extreme weather is vastly cheaper than rebuilding communities. Taking action and developing solutions is also economically wise and ethically essential.
Climate change was neglected during the campaigns. We must have climate action and clean energy solutions at the forefront of American policy before it is forgotten entirely during the next presidential term.
